Awesome GIVEAWAY from Black Baroque!

What’s better than FREE stuff?

AWESOME FREE stuff, that’s what. I have some GREAT news for you, readers. The ever-so-lovely Alexandra (and puppy Poni) from one of my favourite Etsy shops, Black Baroque, have generously decided to give away TWO gorgeous WORKS OF ART to one of YOU…for free :) You might recognize Alexandra’s work – it has been featured in COASTAL LIVING MAGAZINE (while her other boutique products have been included in COUNTRY LIVING, THE NEW YORK POST and more) and now, she has launched a new line of plates and platters, and in order to celebrate, she is giving TWO pieces away to Passport to Design readers. (*I’m touched!).

I am so excited to be hosting this giveaway – I have been a fan of Black Baroque since I purchased some prints for myself and shared some photos of Black Baroque’s chic shop design in THIS POST. Months ago, Alexandra’s prints caught my eye on Etsy. She couples interesting vintage imagery from the 16th18th centuries with 8″x10″ antique book pages to create truly unique, and nostalgic works of art – I love “old” things, especially when they are turned into “new” things, and I’m happy to be able to share her work with you.

And her latest works of art include the same fabulous imagery, but instead of paper, she is using melamine dishes as the medium! The dishes make for great platters, dessert plates, dinner plates and cookie trays (and wonderful gifts right in time for the holidays!). The 10″ dishes are dishwasher safe (and completely food safe) but NOT microwaveable. (NOTE: Frames are not included, exact background page is subject to change since each print is made on a new book page).

A winner will be chosen at random and announced on Monday, November 7th 2011 – to qualify, you must

1.) answer the survey below AND

2.)  leave a comment in the comment section at the end of this post indicating which art print OR plate is your favourite …and you could WIN IT!.

(*Click thumbnails to enlarge photos – name of print is listed in image frame.)
